Luscious dinners raise cash for causes

During lockdown, 9 year old Sophie, a pupil at a Thurlstone Primary School, set up a virtual group called ‘The Project Club’ to give both herself and her class friends Annabelle, Eliza, Elsie & Rosie something to look forward to each week.

Together with their class teachers, Miss Houghton and Mr Skidmore, they decided to make a book called ‘Luscious Mouth-Watering Lockdown Recipes’ featuring 15 of their all-time favourite recipes. They sold their book for a suggested donation of £1 and decided to split the monies raised between the RSPCA & the NHS. They’re donating £475 to the RSPCA Barnsley & District branch and hope they can help lots of animals receive the love and care that they need.

We are extremely grateful to the girls and their teachers for their suppawt, as are the animals in our care. We rely entirely on donations from the public. Thank you so much!
